I have not checked my inbox in days because I have 50+ other inboxes to check and some tech businesses that I run. To be straightforward, it seems people thought this is a non-profit organization fostering pets. It is truly non-profit. However, this site is a pet adoption platform, not a real physical place where we can take in dogs and cats.
I own a lot of land but I do not have the capacity to build foster homes for the dogs and cats. The reason I have cats now is the property where I had my house built is so large and I found the cats inside the property. It is like a weird cat distribution system. It's something I may be able to do in the future. But not at the moment that I run a tech company.
FurhomePH is an advocacy project and specifically a pet adoption platform. You use it like a tool to track inquiries of pets posted for adoption. The current state is not the final state. I saw a lot of gaps while using it. No integration with social media. No way to auto-post yet. I will work on this when I have the capacity to do so.
My suggestion for those who inquired about foster homes is to reach out to PAWS and larger organizations who may have the capacity to care for them. In probably a few weeks, I will have some time to get back to this project and see what I can do to help.
It's lacking some essential features that would really help those who want to rehome pets.
However, I kept it minimal intentionally because of the time that I have. The features are basic: you post a pet and track inquiries. There is an inline reply feature where your reply is sent directly to the email of the person who inquired. This is verified working.
I apologize for not responding quickly. Hopefully, there is more clarity on what this site does. In the future, probably all I can do is to also donate because I have no capacity to run non-profit organizations for pets. I co-own a Real Estate company and tech company.
Meanwhile, I do what I can to help. Running this website for as long as I could is possible because I am in tech and quite confident I can run businesses in tech for decades. However, real organizations like PAWS require more than just technical skills. We do what we can to help. My primary advocacy is really for pets because I saw the report where the country has millions of strays. In Baguio City, some of the strays even have a breed. Hopeful for those who inquired that you have found a home for the dogs/cats you mentioned on emails.
